Structured Learning

Week beginning: 12/09/2022

Watching live dance performances is vital for creative development.  The more you see then the more imaginative your own ideas will be.  As a sixth form dance student you should be aware of the range of dance performances that are on.

Look at the below ‘What’s On’ links, click on a minimum of 10 performances (from Sept-Dec) that interest you and watch the trailers as well as any other footage links that may be there.

Comment below on 3 performances that interest you the most and briefly explain why.

Comments

  1. Mixtape, Celebrating 20 years of Zoonation, I am interested in this as I’ve seen one of their performances live, “Message in a Bottle”, and the performance the skill and the story was amazing.

Anti-Body by Alexander Whitley, because the production seems very interesting with the use of technology inspired visual effects.

Samsara by Aakash Odedra Company, because it’s a production has merged multiple styles together, ballet, Chinese folk, kathak and contemporary dance.
